Fully enclosed eco-friendly inflatable membranes are setting a new trend for green mines. The Xishui Phase II Sand and Aggregate Inflatable Membrane Storage Project, constructed by ZC Space, consists of two inflatable membrane storage units with a total area of over 40,000 square meters, pioneering the use of prefabricated inflatable membrane structures in China. With a core design philosophy centered on energy efficiency and environmental protection, the project utilizes factory-customized prefabricated technology for civil foundations and retaining walls, making construction simpler, faster, and significantly more efficient. The project timeline was shortened by 30% to 40%, ensuring rapid completion and highly efficient operation. This achievement enables the enclosed storage of bulk materials such as sand and gravel, reducing dust pollution, cutting costs, and minimizing environmental impact.

The No. 1 inflatable membrane structure of the Xishui Phase II project has now been inflated and completed. As a key component of the Changlai Green Mine initiative, it supports the smooth operation of the second-phase sand and aggregate plant. Not only does it inject new vitality into the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt in Xishui County, but it also sets a new benchmark for promoting green mine construction.

As a vital part of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, Hubei Province has always been committed to coordinated development across the upper, middle, and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and high-quality growth in its surrounding areas. As early as 2022, Zhongdianjian Changlai (Xishui) New Materials Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of PowerChina Sinohydro Bureau 8, collaborated with ZC Space to develop the Xishui Phase I mine storage yard enclosure project. This project, consisting of four inflatable membrane structures covering a total area of over 95,000 square meters, became a demonstration project for environmentally enclosed storage in green mines and the first inflatable membrane structure for bulk cargo storage yards along the inland Yangtze River.

The successful implementation of the Xishui Phase II project highlights ZC Space’s innovative craftsmanship and recognition of its inflatable membrane solutions and capabilities.
